Thomas TAYLOR bc 1742 married Mary STUBBING in 1768 (Banns were called on 16 October). She was the daughter of John STUBBING and his second wife, Elizabeth HODSON, and although living in Bartlow at the time of her marriage, she was baptised in Castle Camps on 26 August 1739. Thomas and Mary were married for 50 years when she died in 1819 at the age of 80. He died in August a year later aged 78 and was buried on 8 August 1820. William TAYLOR married Sarah ROOKES - the banns were called in West Wratting (22 Nov) and Castle Camps (11 Nov) 1798. Sarah is possibly the daughter of Francis Rooks and Ann Coot, bp 4 Apr 1784 - so far no other likely candidates have been found!
William died and was buried 3 Sep 1826 and his widow Sarah remarried John JEFFREY (bp 16 Mar 1776) on 4 Mar 1827 in Castle Camps. Jane TAYLOR married Joseph ROOKS on 22 Mar 1845. Their descendants can be found here. John TAYLOR married Mary TURNER on 17 Jan 1809 witnessed by his brother William and Mary Baines.
Mary died before 1823 although no burial entry has been found, as on 13 Oct 1823 John remarried his second Mary (CLARK) John died and was buried 27 Mar 1832 aged 53 and his wife remarried Richard OVERHILL (bp 31 Mar 1799) on 12 Oct 1833. She died aged 87 in April 1856. Sophia TAYLOR married William WINTERFLOOD in Castle Camps on 20 Feb 1831.
James TAYLOR married Eliza BUTTERFIELD (the daughter of Thomas and Sarah BUTTERFIELD born 29 Dec 1815) on 6 June 1834 in Castle Camps. Eliza was the eldest of 9 children in the Butterfield family. Her siblings married into the Gibbs, Barker and Cowell families.
Sally (Sarah) TAYLOR married James ADAMS on 2 June 1834 in Castle Camps.
